I designed five annual course catalogs (cir. 100,000/ea) for the National Outdoor Leadership School. The 2012 catalog was a full redesign from previous catalogs, which focused on course descriptions and details, all categorized geographically.
My role: I served as the product owner, art director, designer. I led focus groups with users/students, organized photo submissions, and managed the internal review process between 12+ individuals at NOLS locations around the world. I specified paper, ordered the print job, and negotiated pricing to keep the project within budget. Later, I also checked each form on press.
QR codes were paired with course descriptions to point to videos like Winter Warmth, supplementing the printed piece with video content.
